Full Version: Lan Connection Keeps Failing - Possible Virus

We were told by our IT dept. at work that we may have a virus going around in an E-card. Much to my avail I had already opened the bad email at home. I have Norton Antivirus and Windows defender and neither one picks up anything. I ran a hijack this log, and since I have upgraded to Vista, I am not sure what belongs and what doesn't. I am quite certain I have something quirky going on, but I am not sure how to fix it. My internet connection is extremely sporadic, I have a LAN and my connection is going inbetween local -> local and internet. I have two other computers in the house that are working fine so I know it is not the network. If I diagnose the problem through windows it prompts me to reset the LAN settings, and it helps, but only for a short time and then it goes out again.

Any help you could offer would be much appreciated!

Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

It is strongly advised to leave the interpreting and using Hijack This to the Experts. You could easily cause your computer to become inoperable.
