I recently wiped my old computers hard drive with DBAN and i changed the booy up sequence to cd rom first but i am still getting the DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER. My hard drive was working before i wiped it and the cd rom works also, do i need to reinstall something for the hard drive? i am new at this but keen to learn everything thanks
Do you have more than one optical drive? Is your hdd sharing the same IDE cable?
You're right, with the hdd wiped and the CD-ROM as the first boot device the computer should boot from the OS CD.
btw...welcome to BC.
