Hi i have unfortunately acquired spylocked.. have looked at the remove spylocked guide posted on this site but am having problems carrying out the instructions because after rebooting the computer in safe mode SmithFraudFix does not show up on the desktop. i have XP home edition and have tried using the F8 method and msconfig to enter safe mode and tried both user profiles. Can anyone advise why SmithFraudFix is not showing up?

Did you check to see if it was on your desktop after downloading and BEFORE you rebooted to safe mode?

Super Antispyware has had success removing Smitfraud infections.
Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.
