I have a nvidia fx5500 256mb pci video card. Recently i decided to upgrade all the fans on my computer to new quiet ones. The only thing left is the fan on the Video Card. I was wondering if anyone knew of a replacement (quieter) fan, i also have one of those fans that go in empty pci slots , if i put that under the video card and disable the video cards fan, will it overheat or will that take care of it?

Thanks

I do not reccomend removing/uninstalling/disconnecting your stock fan and using just a hurricane (pci exhaust) fan! You'll more than likey fry your video card! Now, you could replace the stock fan with one from HERE, and use your PCI fan to help cool the card and case, or you could use a third party cooling fan that will attach to your card and exit the pci slot.....but I can't get to any links because I'm at work still (sorry!).

Thanks, do you know of any good sites other than newegg.com because I would like to pay for the fan through paypal. Not Through my credit card?

I use THIS VGA cooler for my X700 currently. It's very quiet, easy installation, and works for pretty much every non-Dirext X10 card. And Tiger Direct accept Paypal.
