I got card overheat probs and a m8 sold his old AGPx8 card (NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900XT ).
My MB only supports AGPx4. Will the card run ok on the MB ?
My present card is a GF4 Ti 420

BTW, MB is an ASUS A7S333 with a AMD Athlon xp2100+ running in it.

Thanks in advance smile.gif

I THINK but don't take my word for it that the x rating is purely electrical from what I've seen on the 680i mobos. They have one 16x PCI slot, one 8x PCI slot, and one 4x PCI slot. So far as I know, A vid card should work as long as the bus is the right size.

That's quite a lot to read, could you just say the answer because I'm beginning to get tired of reading thumbup.gif
Mr Alpha
There is the short version in the beginning, and even from the long version the tables tell you most what you need to know.

Thanks for the link Mr Alpha.

From how I read it, if the edge card fits my AGP slot then it'll work (max at AGP X4 ? )

If it doesn't, then it might be the wrong transfer voltage.
I think I can change this in the BIOS ?
Or am I being a numpt.
