I have Mepis 6.5 installed on the harddrive of a computer.
Works great...
This morning I'm shown that there are two updates, however
when I go to get them, I get a message "Could Not Download
All Repository Indexes" Anyone else getting the same thing?
My thinking is that it's for older systems then 6.5 but what do
I know.... I've updated the system before with no problems.
Please ignore....administrators please delete this post.

I don't see anywhere to modify the presious post as I've done
it once already. I recind the "never mind" and would like to add,
How can I tell what version of Mepis I really have installed?
I still get the repository error message even though there
aren't any updates. At least I don't think there are.

I dont know about Mepis but since its based on Ubuntu I can assume its going to be in the same place or very close.

Gnome Desktop:
System Menu->Administration->System Monitor. Click the "System" tab it should show the Version of Mepis you are running.

Nope, can't find it......I've been looking for several days on and
off.....darn it.....I downloaded Mepis to my harddrive some time
ago and if not for that I would switch it off with Ubuntu. I run Ubuntu
on another computer but only from the live CD and I like it. I've tried
over riding it on this computer but it only loads a bit and halts.

I'm now using Ubuntu CD on my other computer and found the
version of Ubuntu very easily...
