I have a Dell desktop, and an HP notebook both hooked to a linksys router for internet sharing. Both computers work fine for the internet, but I was wondering if there was a way to be able to access computer A's files from computer B. I know NOTHING about networking so please talk "dummie" to me.
P.S. IF this is possible, do I need to fear spreading Virus's from one to the other?
Thanks again

Hi xesvuli420, I would say one of the easiest ways to share files is to map a network drive, dont worry its easy have a look
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/n...n/mapdrive.mspxLook if you have probs just get back to this post and someone will help you, as for viruses, you are right, they can spread from PC to PC so always run your virus scanner regularly and Adaware too

Hi, if both PCs are running XP run network set up wizard
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documen...w.mspx?mfr=trueYou will have to run the wizard on both PCs.
See how you go.
