Ok I have a Dell 8250. Running Windows XP. It has a Cd Burner running Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.2 Basic. About a week ago I tried to burn a Cd and when I put the blank Cd in it wouldnt read it. It just kept saying:

"The Disk in the recorder is not the proper media for this project. Insert a blank Cd with enough free space to record the project."

So I tried with about 6 cds from the pack. I had already burned about 10 Cd's from this same pack of blanks Cd's. I made sure I didnt have to much data or to many minutes of songs on it so thats not the problem. But I thought maybe it was the Cd's so I went out and bought a whole new pack and none of them worked either.

So then I uninstalled and reinstalled my Cd burner and then tried it again with cd's from each pack. Neither of them worked either. So now I am lost on what to do. If you could offer me any help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank You for your help.

What exactly did you do to uninstall it and reinstall it (what steps did you take/procedure did you use)? Also, what kind of CD drive is it (make/model if possible)? Let us know and we'll go from there! thumbup2.gif
