Which instructions did you follow when you installed it? That might help us better determine where things went wrong.

Hi,
I quickly read over "The Unoffical Fedora FAQ"

CODE
Q: How can I install Flash in my web browser?
A:

1. Make sure that you're using my yum configuration from the installing software question.
2. Open a Terminal.
3. Become root:

su -
4. Type:

yum install flash-plugin

(exept I used the GUI versin of yum, Add Remove programs.)

I installed it and check over it. Everything seemed to go right. Its just firefox isn't picking it up, or I think thats the problem. Is there any file I should edit to help out. I have my dad baffeld about this too.
arcman
Have you restarted Firefox since you installed it?
Also, you usually have to have to quit all instances of Firefox for flash to install the plugin properly. Won't do it right while it's running.

Hi,
I actually restarted the system after installation. Yes, Firefox was off. Do you think I might have gotten a bad version of flash. I downnloaded it on my mac then used a flash drive and put it on the lyuix system.
Thanks for the help so far
arcman
It should work fine if you download either one of the files from this website and then follow the instructions for the respective files.

Okay I navied to see if the plugin was installed in the /usr/lib/mozilla and it is but it is a differnt color than the working plugins.
CODE
[root@IP-static lib]# cd mozilla
[root@IP-static mozilla]# ls
plugins
[root@IP-static mozilla]# cd plugins
[root@IP-static plugins]# ls
libflashplayer.so mozplugger.so nphelix.so nphelix.xpt
