when im playing a game it sometimes crashes onto "the blue screenof death" . then it starts up again and says it has recoverd from a unexpected shutdown and it has the option to solve the problem or leave it. i clicked the solve option and it came up with nothing. does anyone know why it is duiing it

Could you tell us what the BSOD message was. Generally they consist of 3 parts - a symbolic name (the name is all caps with _ between the words), a STOP Error (a long string of numbers that usually looks something like this - 0x0000007b and is followed by even more numbers and letters), and sometimes there's a filename pointing to where the error occurred.

I cant sorry but the screens only there for about 3 seconds before it restarts.

Please use this link to find the BSOD messages. Please notice that the first link in the references is how to disable the automatic restarts (which will let you read the screen).

Don't worry I found it was a application that wasnt compatible with vista.(Microsoft Office XP or Daemon tools not sure which one)
Sorry for bothering you and I'll use you help in future problems.

Most likely Daemon Tools - Office XP is compatible, but has to be installed in compatibility mode.
