At the moment I am looking to buy components for and build a new computer. It is the first time I have done this and I have collected a list of components but I'm not sure of their compatibility. If anyone could help I would be extremely grateful. The components are:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Socket AM2 2.5GHz
GIGABYTE Ga-m57sli-s4 Am2 Nvnf570 Atx
Kingston HyperX 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C5
Sapphire ATI Radeon X1650 Pro 256MB GDDR3 Dual DVI-I TVO PCI-E Graphics Card
Seagate 7200.10 320GB SATAII/300 8.5ms 7200RPM 16MB Cache
Optiarc NEC AD7170S Serial ATA 18x18 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter (Black)

Thanks if you can help thumbup2.gif

No PSU?

Personally I would go with Crucial for RAM, I've had problems with Kingston but not Crucial...I am biased.

I was considering Crucial when it was on a special (Overclockers UK) but now it has returned to full price which is too much for a mid-priced PC. The PSU I chose is the "Arctic Power 500W PSU With PCI-E, SATA, 20+4, ATX12V, 8pin +12V Connectors," but I am more concerned if there are any compatibility issues with RAM, mobo, processor etc?
Mr Alpha
Kingston does not list any HyperX RAM as being compatible with your machine. Linky.

You don't need a 500W PSU for that. A high-quality 300W is enough.

I've now decided to go with a 380W coolermaster PSU. Could anyone recommend some compatible RAM, preferably 2GB DDRII 6400? Thanks for the PSU advice Mr Alpha thumbup.gif
