My internet connection just randomly disconnects some times in the day sometimes at night. I have noticed it likes to lose connection around 9.30 to 10.30pm. Just before it disconnects in the connection status, lots of errors are on the received bit and these rapidly go up 30 seconds before the disconnect there are no errors under the sent bit. I have gone around my house making sure filters are in place and i have even replaced them with new ones just in case of faulty ones. If anyone knows of what could be causing the problem please enlighten me, or have any tips or suggestions to stop it from disconnecting please share your views
I have 3 MB connection. when i connect to the internet it varies between 2.2 and 3.1 MB
I am using a speedtouch 330 modem, windows xp and my internet provider is BT.
Thanks in advance and if you need any more information please just ask . It has become really annoying disconnecting when playing an online game or downloading.

Same time each night seems rather odd, could it be your telephone exchange is exceptionally busy at that time?
I had a similar problem with speedtouch disconnecting but it was more random. After ordering a new modem (which didn't resolve the problem) i installed new Orange software which(thankfully & miraculously) came through the post and used my own username and password to set it up. Fingers crossed it's been two days and no problems.Hope your problems resolved soon.
