I've been using BC as reference whenever something comes up with my PC. I was prompted to finally sign up today after 48 hours and enduring a mega migraine trying to get my PC back in shape after getting bombarded by a host of malware and some viruses in one afternoon. I'm just collecting all the info I need and might post my own question soon.

Hi,all, I am Veravee from Australia. Just adding your help site to my list of others, so I can help friends and some older people that I teach Basic Computing to, (such as emailing and surfing the net stuff) real technical stuff I am not too good at, but these sort of sites help a lot. Whenever fixing a computer for a malware problem or whatever, I usually find an answer here. Finally joined after two weeks of frustration with someone's PC that just won't work right.

Malware sucks... sigh

I have been an IT Professional for 8 years and spent more time cleaning infected machines than I'd like to remember. Bleeping Computer has been a great resource and saved me a lot of work by introducing to newer removal tools such as combo fix and Spyware Removal News to get rid of those nasty little root kit buggers when all of my tricks fail. I'd just like to say thanks for the great site and information you have made available to me.

WinSpyWareProtect is gone at last, thanks to Combofix. What a nightmare. There IS a God.

Just what to say "thanks to Bleeping Computer" you have saved my life, I got the dam "Antivirus XP 2008" on my PC and after many people telling me my PC was done for, I found you and now my PC is back in the land of the living and works just fine !! yet agian "thanks"

Okay.. I'm nervous. First off, hello and thanks so much to APTB for the site. I'm dneecey, and I stumbled in here because I have a problem, but I'm going to try to look for a solution here myself, before asking for help. I hope that I won't have to, since there has obviously been a lot of work put into self help here.

you are the best so far removing antivirus08 wow thanks to you all I am a tech for a law school and everyone was getting infected.

I made it to these boards out of frustration with a bleeping computer tutorial on Combofix (all the parts on Windows Recovery)

Now I find there are many informative tutorials and boards here. Even games. Woo. At least my browser only crashes occasionally, so I can still access help!

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for this site!
It saved me from that bloody Antivirus 2008!
I will be making regular visits as this place can only help my novice self in being better prepared with my computer!

I've never posted here before but now i will post.

Well, I started back around 1994ish. I had a computer - 386 SX (stood for sucks I think) with the turbo button and everything. Well, after breaking my computer several times in a row, my friends got tired of fixing it for me. So that was the beginning,

I did a 6 year stint in a tech support call center doing desktop support. Now I work as a network admin for a large for-profit university.

Hello all. I absolutely love this site. I have learned so much by reading the wonderful tutorials. Anytime I run into a problem I come here and do a little searching,its great.I have been waiting for months for an availble slot to learn more but it seems you are at capacity or I missed enrolment lol. I haven't been online very long really around 3 years now. I find Viruses and Malware very interesting,and so far I haven't found one that I didn't enjoy killing

My computer had the XP Antispyware 2009 malware on it and it brought the computer almost to its knees. I found this site on-line and it provided me with the exact description of my problem and walked me through the fix including directing me to a site for free software. I don't know what I would have done without this fix. I am only moderately computer literate and this site made me feel like I actually knew what I was doing. Thanks a million Bleeping Computer. You are my hero.
