Does anyone know if MS imposes a limit as to how many times an O/S (Vista Home Premium) can be unloaded, then re-loaded onto the same computer?

My understanding is, if you bought the full retail copy, that you can move it to as many machines as you want. As long as it is uninstalled from the previous machine. Kinda/sorta what you're doing. Have you even gotten as far with the install to where you have to register it yet?

Yes I have registered it already several times on 1 system, reason for this is that I had partially loaded XP
Pro onto this new build. I had to abandon this because I could not lost the registration key. I would have preferred to stick with XP, but according to MS, the disc I have is counterfeit, therfore they cannot suppy the key. So now I have a system that has XP partially loaded and Vista fully loaded onto drive C, I think. I am going to reformat all hard drives and start with a total new install of Vista.
Thanks for the reply Mark.....

As long as you install it on the same hardware Microsoft doesn't care.
