Well i was wondering why if i have a 128k download bandwidth my transfer rate will be maximum 16 k?
and so on ...(256k ->32 k max trsanfer...)

Well thats not good. What type of connection do you have, ISDN?

Its bits(b ) and bytes(B ). An internet connection is measures in bits, while download speed is measured in bytes. One byte is eight bits. So 128 kb is 16 kB.
