Little Pagan
i download a pic off limewire.
that pic was sent to a folder in d drive call my favorite bands.
my favorite bands is just a folder were i keep my music.
ever since i downloaded that pic i have had a warning message saying" windows has incountered a problem and has to close". after that the file closes every thing goes blank then it refreshes and all my programs and folders that were open are still open but my favorite bands folder is gone so every time i try and acess it the same thing happens. i try and scan it but that same message comes up and the scanning program closes. i.ve tried alot of programs but nothing can scan it. the only program that has been able to scan the folder is avg 7.5 but that didn't fix the problem. i have resently downloaded comodo and that didn't work so i got rid of it but when i was uninstalling comodo it froze so i restarted my comp and now comodo is still there but its not in the add/remove program list.

i new to this site so i don't quite no how to use it. im only 14 but im try to fix my mistakes that i have cause on my comp.

heres the list of programs that ive used:
1.avg 7.5
2.norton anti virus
3.paretologic antispyware
4.spysweeper
5.spybot search and destroy
6.ad-aware
7.regcure
8.advanced system optimizer
9.max secure spyware detector
i think there are more but i can't remember them

I suggest you post a HijackThis log for examination.
A member of the HijackThis Team will walk you through, step by step, how to disinfect your computer.

Once you post your log, don't make any changes to your system, as that could change the results of the posted log, making it more difficult to properly clean your system.

Read Preparation Guide for use before posting a HijackThis Log.
Please read, and follow, all directions carefully!!!

If the steps, prior to the posting of a HijackThis log don't eliminate the problem:

Run a log, and post it in the HijackThis forum, >at this link<.
Do not, post it in this topic.
Do not, fix anything, yet.
A member, of the HJT Team, will help you out.
It may take a while to get a response from the HJT Team, because they are very busy. Please, be patient, as these people are volunteers. They will help you, as soon as possible.

NOTE:
Once you have made the post, please, DO NOT make another post in the HJT forum, until it has been responded to by a member of the HJT Team. The first thing they look for, when looking for logs to reply to, is 0 replies. If you make another post, there will be 1 reply. The team member, glancing over the replies, might assume someone is already helping you out, and will not respond. So, just make your post, and let it sit there, until a team member responds. This way you will be taken care of, in the most timely manner.

If you haven't heard back from them in 5 days, go to this topic, Haven't Had A Reply In Five Days?, and carefully follow all directions.

First of all :

Please upload the file at Jotti or Virustotal and post back the result

Secondly :

Have you checked the files Properties?
Right click the file, and select Properties.
Make sure it's not set to Read-only.
If it is, uncheck it, click Apply, and click OK.
Now try to delete it.

If none of the above works, here are a couple of programs, you can try:

Eraser
Unlocker
Delete DEoctor

There's also this Microsoft Knowledge Base Article that might be helpful:

Also try it in Now Safe Mode

Download install and update Ccleaner
Attention : the installation package comes with the Yahoo toolbar
if you do not want that you have to, untick the box accepting it during installation process.

After installing and updating go to options - advanced and tick prompt for registry back ups
Now Start up in safe mode
Do two runs

1) Click on problems and tick all. Click on analyse. At the end you will be prompted for storing a backup.
This will be stored, as a default, in My documents.
2) Click on cleaner click on analyse and accept all files to be removed.

If you are not certain what to remove save the reports and post them here.

There are a few programs in your list i do not know, but that doesn't mean anything whistling.gif

The AVG 7.5 is anti spyware I assume?

If there is more I would loike to suggest that you put a complete list so we can review it and potentially replace them to get an as complete possible protection rather than an overkill situation
