Ok, simple question I was wondering, am I protected enough?

I used to have McAffee and apparently it wasn't spyware/viruses that was slowing my comp down, it was my McAffee service!

So I got these 2 programs to replace them (from someone here that told me to):

Comodo Firewall
AVG Antivirus

So here's my question, is it ok to just keep those two? Or do I need other programs...? I also regularly scan my computer with spybot search and destroy, and clean my registry with a registry cleaner.

Also...I have Adaware installed on my comp. Is it all right to delete that because I don't need it?

I would keep your programs. Spybot & AdAware, along with AVG & Comodo will keep your PC secure.

The only thing that I would is to get superantispyware free and install that to go along with the AdAware and Spybot S&D. On the registry cleaner, dont mess with the registry unless you are having problems.

You could also put in Prevx1

This is a good backup for your firewall and anti virus, as it runs in the background and immediately stops any programme that acts in a suspicious way stone dead. Handy for stopping root kits and trojans and other nasties that may slip by your other defenses.

So, from what you guys are saying, should I be using Adaware as my MAIN anti-virus...? Cause my set up right now is Comodo AND AVG as my main set up. Should I disable AVG and put in Adaware as my main anti-virus? Or does it really not matter...? I have Adaware still on my comp because some guy who checked out my comp installed and left it on my PC, so I never really got rid of it. It just sits in a folder on my desktop and I don't ever use it, unless I want a second opinion scan from another program.

Alright, sounds good. Thanks boopme for those links, definitely will use some of those. So, I'm just gonna keep my set up and just start up and run Adaware to run scans correct? I don't need it up and running all the time? Because it's not ever up and running unless I start it up manually.
