hello
I buy new dell laptop -inspiron 6400- that its os is vista home basic.
it has only one drive (C:) and enather for back up (D:).
I want too creat a new drive from C: that naw have 99 GB.
when I use the disk management of vista it creat anallocated space but not new drive!
help me to define it as a new drive.
other problem, maximum space at anallocated is only 49 GB.what can I do?

A program, such as Acronis Disk Director will let you partition your HD, a.g.t

There are other programs that will do it, too.

1) Make sure that you have a backup - this can hose the OS on the hard drive!
2) Disk Management should allow you to allocate the unallocated space into a new partition - then you should be able to format it and set it as Active.
