Heres hoping someone can help!
I just had a new hard drive installed and now my computer won't recognise my speakers. The speakers work fine, but the computer wont aknowledge their existence when i plug them in.
I don't, and as far as im aware, never had an installation cd with the speakers, so i cant try that.
A friend suggested it had something to do with the sound card and XP?
any help appreciated

Was this an upgrade to xp? or did you already have xp and just upgraded the hard drive?

Is it possible a cable came loose when you installed the hard drive? You may want to open the case and reseat the sound card

What is the mode/manufacturer of your sound card?
