I have a problem that I would like some help with please. I know ctfmon is part of office and also can be a trojan. How do I know which is which, and is it safe to delete. When I run a search I get the following:-

CTFMON.EXE-05E57A5E.pf
F816_ctfmon.exe.2BBC3BB7_EE04_46E8_8476_2F99E88F4EE4

these are the file names along with ctfmon in windows system 32 folder

are these safe?

If it is located at, C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe, then it's a legitimate file.
Anywhere else, and I'd be worried.
