I am wondering how can i get Ms.Paint and if it is the smae thing as Paint in micorsoft on dell
BlackSpyder
Ms Paint from Windows 3.1/3.11 is just about the same as the current Paint found on Windows 98,ME,and XP. MS will never send a product out without Paint or Solitare.

Then where in the world do I find "paint" in my system? I have Windows Xp + thought it was supposed to be included in my system.
I went to accessories, but can't find it there.
Where can it be hiding?

The file name, oddly enough, is "mspaint.exe".

You could search your HD to see if it is there and just not showing up in your Start menu (or you just haven't found it - it is called simply "paint" in the menu).
BlackSpyder
check in the entertainment section of Accessories. Thats where they hid it on my PC's

Thanks for the suggestions. I had to dig in my c drive + found 3 applications??? I know one is for uninstall, but don't know the other two are referenced as system 32 and then service pack. What's the difference?
Thanks
JohnWho
The one in the windows/system32/ folder is the one that I'm running, so it would appear that you do have it on your system.

Did you look everywhere in your Start Menu?

It may be there where BlackSpyder suggests.

Another thing to try is: Start - Run - type in "mspaint.exe" and click OK.

On mine it's listed under, Start / All Programs / Accessories / Paint

Or, to create a shortcut icon for Paint, on your Desktop, go to:
My Computer / C: / Windows / System32 / mspaint.exe
Right click mspaint.exe, mouse over Send To, and select Desktop (create shortcut)
Close My Computer.

Then, just double-click the icon on your Desktop, to open Paint.

So what is the difference between windows/system 32 and windows/service pack?
I did have to do a search of my drives + found it hidden in the C drive folders.
