Izzy,

Dvd player problem may be related to problems to be found in your HJT log.

Wait for initial response from HJT Tech and then refer them to this item also
so they are aware of the scope of problems you are having.

Meanwhile, someone else may come along that recognizes what is going on here,
and may have a fix for you.

Appreciate your patience, as this may take a bit of time to sort out.

regards,
~Koan

I had another probplem when i right clik anything or try to delete any this message came up

ELPLORER.EXE - Application Error
The isntruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be written. Click OK to terminate the application. Or click Cancel to Debug the application.

when there was anything open explorer would shut down (not windows the task bar at bottom) and reload closing any program that was open.

WHat was happening?

It's not doing it now after i ran registry first aid. but i would like to know what happened with it.

In this thread posts dealing with "serious error" recovery are mentioned.

similar problems led to microsoft help & support for answers
Nov 7th post.
Maybe it'll help.
maybe not.
It's kinda hard to say in a few sentences what windows is doing when you get that message, Izzy.
sorry.
I didn't design anything,
I just have to deal with it when it goes *sideways* and/or crashes/slows down. sad.gif

In my case, winXPpro decided to run it's debugging feature a few times.
I didn't ask it to.
I didn't know what consequences would result when it did.
It just did.
Luckily, I didn't reload the OS in retaliation.

I havn't had the Serious Error message since i uninstalled PowerDVD.
It must have been a program error or something.

Why can't WIndows Media Player 10 play DVD's?
It says i need a Decoder or something.

But it playes (I Know it's Illegal) but i got it from a cousin to try it out, copied one?
I like to buy my Movies personally, just that the quality is that bit better.
