Hi all,

Whenever I try and download the Dreamscene preview update, it downloads fine but it won't install. I get the error code: 8007000D. All other Vista updates work fine.

I have had a search on Google and Microsoft and there is little of use there, I was wondering if anyone knew the problem and a fix for it?

What version of Vista are you running?

I believe Dreamscene only runs on Ultimate, but I could be wrong.

Sorry, should have said that, I am using Vista Ultimate (32 bit). The update appears on the 'Windows ultimate Extras' but won't work when I try and install, all other Windows update are fine, including other 'Ultimate Extras' that have been released.

Yeah, it is only supposed to work on Ultimate, but it appears not to work on that either.

Two other questions:

Are you running a final release of Vista or one of the Pre-release or Beta's?

Do you have the current drivers for your video card?



I'm with you - not seeing much that's helpful on the Net, yet.

Final bought copy of it. As for the drivers, yes, I am running the latest ones. Although, it's not that the program won't run, it just won't install.

From what I have found around the net, there are a few references to that error code, but nothing substantial, relevant or helpful!
