I have lost the sound, have re-installed all the drivers, but keep getting this message the drivers are ok but not started.
How the bleeeeeep do you start them?

Are you sure you have your speakers plugged into the right jacks? If your speakers need to be plugged into a/c power, are you sure they are getting the a/c power? Have you tried a set of headphones instead?

There's been a lot of this lately. If you have recently ran Windows Update it is possible, if you use the Realtek sound chip, that the drivers are corrupt. M$ released a patch yesterday. Look in Device Manager and if you use Realtek down load new drivers ay their website Mark
