Hi, I recently deleted the icon for my recycle bin from my desktop. Can anyone please tell me how to put it back or create a shortcut icon for it? Thanks in Advance, BlessedBeMe
Occassionally after restoring your Recycle Bin icon like this, the icon won't work right anymore (won't look 'full' when their is something it it). See this tip to fix that issue: http://itsvista.com/2007/03/itsvista-tip-4...-icon-in-vista/

I have done it on purpose, I like to have nothing at all on my desktop, and use the quicklaunch for my programs. Whats the point of having a nice desktop background picture and then covering it in icons, that's what I think any way

If you want "nothing at all on your desktop"
you can turn off "show desktop icons".
You don't have to delete anything.

Deleting the recycle bin has the same affect I think, it isn't really deleted, it just unchecks the box on the personalization screen, the one you press to hide it anyway.

Deleting the recycle bin is the same as unchecking the box to turn it off, but different then saying to not show the desktop. Not showing the desktop hides ALL icons on the desktop, including the recycle bin.

Ahh, I understand now thanks. I just unchecked all the boxes so the desktop is empty, seems like I did it the long way!!
