whenever i start up my computer i get the following message now: RTHDCPL.EXE- Illegal System DLL Relocation

The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contaced for a new DLL.

does anyone know what this means? Thx in advance.

I had the same message after the last update from MSN.
I restored the pc system to an anterior date and now I'm ignoring the return of this update invitation
until I find out more about this problem. I've only read about a couple of occurrences and no 'explanations' yet.

So far, only a 'System Restore' or the manual removal of the MSN update KB925902 seem do resolve this issue. This info is taken from a French Canadian forum such as this one.

I had the same problem. The solution can be found at the microsoft site. Go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448 and download the 935448 package, run it and restart your computer. I have done this and it is ok now.

Ahhh cool...Im glad Im not the only one hehe. I uninstalled a webcam this am because it reset the screen resolution and the picture looked grainey. I did the updates for Windows and then reboot and found the same error....thought it ME and the Web cam lol.

then I forgot my log in name...and asked for an email to be sent to poor Claudia with my "password". haha...remembered I am Claudemarie here, not Claudia...

I tried the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448 fix and restarted my computer and it didn't work for me, any other suggestions? I would appreciate any help, please.
