hello,
At my church, they have Microsoft Office XP Professional on all their PCs. However my mom, who is the treasurer, she needs Microsoft Access. They did not install access and now longer have the XP Pro CD. I however have Office 2003 Professional, Access included. My question is this:

Would having Office XP Pro and Office 2003 (Access) Pro conflict with each other? If its just Access?

Any help would be appreciated,
Jesse

What I would do is totally remove the Office suite currently on the machine and then install her version of Office 2003

Will that remove all documents they've made with XP Pro?

No it shouldn't, the files will remain, you just wont be able to open them. if you want to be completely safe, back them up on some removable media.

This may not be exactly what you need, but it's a start to hunt down the right Compatibility Pack, if Microsoft has one to suit your needs specifically. It's hard to hunt down in Google because so many hits come up. Microsoft isn't the easiest site to search either. This one doesn't say XP Pro and 2003, but maybe it would work. Or as I said, start you in the right direction.

How to install the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack so that you can use earlier versions of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to open and to save files from 2007 Office programs

Are you sure? Had I known that I would not have made the suggestion. I have Office97, Office 2003, and Open Open office on my 3 networked computers and I was'nt aware of any problems. Now I'll have to check

Mark,
My sources tell me that there is no compatibility problems to date. Having 3 different versions of Office on your PC won't create trouble. It's fine.... thanks guys for helping me.
