Hallo friends,
Please tell me whether you know how to solve this problem.
After installing a game like Battlefield or Airport Tycoon, I couldn't play it. When I run it, a dark screen appears and a message saying Out Of Range - 53.6hz/85hz but I can hear the title music of the game, and can also hear the sounds that come while moving the mouse over the game menu tabs.
for Battlefield it said> Out Of Range - 53.6hz/85hz
for airport tycooon it said> Out Of Range - 172.0hz/199hz
What does it mean?
please help.

Hello,
The hardware you have is certainly capable of playing the games, How old is your monitor? it could be that the monitors refresh settings are either too low or too high and the game can't handle it as a result. try changing the monitor refresh options
Display properties>settings>advanced>monitor.
Hope this helps

Hallo nigglesnush,
thank you.
My monitor is new. Sony SDM-E76A VGA 17" 1280 x 1024 resolution. Its not an old model either.
The refresh rate does not allow me more than 75mhz. Right now it is 75. I tried keeping 60 also.
What problem is my Device Manager shows 'Default Monitor' driver. And I cannot update it to my Sony SDM E76A. When I go to update it through that Device manager and guide it to the folder where the Sony drivers are kept, it says "Cannot find any better match for the hardware than the existing default driver."
then

see you.

Hello,
Having the device manager saying that its on a default monitor is ok and shouldn't cause problems. is you go to the location where a game is installed such as battlefield, right click on the exe and select properties, go to the compatibility tab and change the compatibility options. if this will get into the game, go to settings and lower the quality levels and resolution settings.
If that doesn't work, lower the windows resolution settings gradually it could be that the resolution is too high for the game.
Hope this helps

Another possibility is the v-sync mode. That caused me a little headache in HL2 before I figured it out.
