I recently upgraded to vista from xp media center. When I try to use the short cuts on my desktop to access different websites, IE7 shuts down. I went in and turned user controls off and it resolved the issue. Is there a fix so that I can continue to use "user controls" and not have this issue?

[b]Just in case someone else runs into the same problem, I got my answer from another forum. I went in to the startup feature and un-checked "omnipage" and that resolved the issue of the short cuts not working.

Thanks for the advice! It'll help others with the same problem. Was the OmniPage software related to a scanner that you use? If so, could you give some more information about the scanner/other hardware?

The Omnipage is the software to my Canon 4200f scanner. I never use it.

We've had a lot of issues at work with Canon software not playing nicely with Vista. I'd avoid using it until there's Vista compatible updates available from the Canon website.
