Hi! Long time, no see--you wonderful bleeps! The last time I updated Firefox I chose an add on but it was slowing things down to repeated time outs. I didn't know how to get rid of the add on any other way than to uninstall Firefox. I tried to download the most recent version--2 something but a note came up saying "corrupted file" when I tried to run it. Please help!

Try to download it again. It's possible you've gotten some corruption along the way.
Last week I've downloaded 3 different files, from different sources, and all of them were corrupt when I tried to install them. I then went back to those sites, and re downloaded those files again... now everything is fine.

If you get the same message after trying to download Firefox again, chances are your profile is corrupt.
Have a look at this article;
Profile Folder and scroll down to "What do I do if my profile is corrupted?"

Thanks Walkman and TMacK! I appreciate the responses. I managed to get it downloaded. I just ran it instead of saving it so I didn't have to go through the profile thing. But, that is good to know! However, I don't know how to get rid of the add-on "yoono". It just came with the new download. Any ideas?

This is
Yoono.
So you should be able to remove it by going to Tools/Add-ons clicking on yoono then clicking uninstall.
Wonder why it came "preinstalled"?
