Sorry, wrong forum
gaelic123
I was just wondering how many nations are represented my members of Bleeping Computer? Perhaps there's any easy way to find out that someone could post.

Thanks,

Mary

Good question, though... General Chat OK with y'all?
Scarlett
Some kind of poll may be fun. But not quite sure if it would work.

BTW U need neat little avatar to go along with your name. Jazz things up a bit. Ya know. smile.gif Something Irish maybe.

Thanks,
Mary

The slow answer is:
One... US
Two... UK
Three... Canada
Four... France lmfao.gif

Mary, you are (unofficially) nominated to check the flags below the avatars
and continue the list. thumbup.gif

OK, OK, my tongue is in my cheek here. Sorry, take no offense, please
gaelic123
No offense taken.

Is there a listing that would show the flags below the avatars of each member? In other words is there an easier way to do that?

Mary
Scarlett
Yes the listing is in

Control Panel> edit your profile

Like where u choose United States

gaelic123 u had 2 threads started with the same topic. I just merged them . Dont freak out. smile.gif
gaelic123
Scarlett-

I looked in the control panel as you suggested, but it only showed my own settings or profile.

I apologize if I'm not making myself clear, what I was looking for was a way to check the flags of all the members. Sort of a master list.

Thanks,

Mary
Scarlett
Control Panel > On left hand side > Edit Profile > Top of page > Choose Country

There is a drop down menu.

I do not know how much help it would be to you though.
Scarlett
thumbup.gif on the Av smile.gif
You sure work fast.

Grinler would be the only one to know anything about that.

Scarlett,

Thanks on the avatar. I'm a senior citizen who is attempting to join the modern world of computing, so anything as fancy as adding an avatar is something new.

I found the control panel settings for country. Now does that mean those are the countries from which you can choose or is that a list of countries that have been designated by members?

Thanks,

Mary

I can't be 100% sure. But I think that it is, from which you can choose.

Well, you've got the old right!

I've learned so much from the many helpful members of this board. The internet has opened a whole new world for me. Although it can at times be very scary what with the hackers, viruses and such. It is definitely a learning experience.

Thanks,

Mary
Scarlett
You are so very welcome. smile.gif

I see that you joined back in June. Haven't seen much of you around. sad.gif
But so glad that you are visiting again.

Phawgg u r being quite cheeky. And silly. I think it is a good question.
Sorry, I just wasn't able to answer the question, but liked the question. sad.gif
Scarlett

Perhaps we could turn this into a game. That is gaelic123, if you do not mind.

I envision it to go something like this:

Post a members name along with the nation that they are a part of. To keep it interesting, once a nation has been mentioned, you have to find a different one to post another name.

United States-Grinler

OK, so I found the easiest one.

I would even request that this game not be split to its own thread to respect gaelic123's question.

For those who are interested, I have pinned a post showing the various countries and how many members we have from each. I have also cleaned up this thread so its back to its original purpose of a game.

I just now saw this thread and have to say that I am very impressed that Grinler was able to provide the stats. But I've also noticed that some don't 'claim' a country at all, which is fine, but that would probably mean they aren't part of the stats as well. I wonder what the stats are on those who have not chosen a country from the list. I'd bet that it's a small number.

Sorry I can't contribute to the game that was created from this thread. At least not yet, lol.

Thanks to Mary and to Grinler for the idea and the move to the Arcade forum.
