I have some sort of malware. I thought it was Drivecleaner, because was redirected there at one point today. I followed the instructions, and can't find anything having to do with drivecleaner on my hijack this log, or in add/remove programs.
yesterday I couldn't even log on to the internet, it kept calling up a dialup prompt. Today I am back up and running, but I can't seem to figure out what is wrong.
The incomplete folder from limewire is on my desktop, and every time I try to click it, it crashes windows. I did a search for files by date yesterday, and it crashes windows. I am assuming the bad file is there and being proctected. (if this were not such a royal pain in the butt, I would find it fascinating.)
I also have used a program called Autoruns, by Sysinternals. I have found one thing called "detachments" that I can't delete or pull up in the registry. I think that's bad too.
I have Hijack this logs, and can probably get a shot of the autoruns screen if that will help.
I really should know better than to d/l porn from limewire! (Although, if my wife asks, I was grabbing some music!
