Full Version: Google Links Are Redirected To Ads
BleepingComputer.com > Security > Am I infected? What do I do?

Recently after searching a topic on google, I try to click the link to the website, and an ad comes up rather than the website I was hoping for. Sometimes the ads are for like foreign drugs and such, or certain media or computer tv websites, but the most common site I'm redirected to is Jump.com/_____. The blank varies. I've noticed that I am not redirected directly to these sites. Right before the ad site comes up, an ip address comes up in the URL bar first its hard to read them quickly, or hit stop quick enough to copy it but I've managed to harvest one. I have

216.133.243.28

I have also scanned with zonealarm security suite, adaware, spycatcher, and spysweeper. All have found a lot of spyware, but none have fixed the problem.

Thanks in advanced for any responses.

Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Run the online scan for Bit Defender in normal mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

If the programs above don't solve the problem,
Post a Hijack This log in the appropriate forum by following the directions in the link below.
