Hi all,
As you may have read on the previous Readyboost post, Vista may not allow all USB drives to be used if the drive is not fast enough on random reads and writes.
If you find that your drive fails and cannot be used try this;
Format the USB flash drive in NTFS
enable \ check the "Allow compression to save disk space " option
Try the RB test again,
Hope it works for you as it did for me.

For those of you wondering if there really is that big a difference between flash drives, the answer is a resounding yes. The random read & write performance of a drive can be 500 times faster on one drive than on another.
