Full Version: Echoes Of Antivermins

Fractured
About a month ago, my browser was taken over by Antivermins. I ran virus checks, ad-aware, then spybot, but the problem was still there. It's been so long now I can't even exactly remember how I did get rid of it, but I know I was using searches in tech forums for dummies with step-by-steps and followed one of those. Soon after, my computer started acting weird. I get lag on my ie. If I hit stop then reload, it loads almost instantly, but often not on that first try. I play online games using java. Java lags, then locks, then boots me from the games. There are other little things that it's doing that are hard to describe, but it's all in this same line. I updated java, antivirus, spyware, have run cleaners, and now I don't know what to do to UN-do whatever I did wrong when trying to remove Antivermins. I have tried system restore, but at every point it says it can't be restored to that point. I'm desperate enough to try anything to avoid starting the computer from scratch. Any ideas?
