I have been experimenting w/ IE, Firefox & Opera & decided to keep IE & Firefox. When I went to uninstall Opera it did not show up on the install/uninstall list. I've Looked in the Opera programs folder but it doesn't appear to have an uninstall app. I am stumped(although not difficult to do with my lack of expertise. I am running WinXP Med Ctr Ed 2005.

To uninstall Opera, open the Control Panel. In the Control Panel, open "Add or Remove Programs", and locate Opera in the list of installed programs. Click "Remove" to uninstall Opera.

Please note that this will not remove user created files and settings.

In order to completely remove an Opera installation, the following directories must be removed after performing a normal uninstall:
-The folder you installed Opera to.
-The Opera settings folder.

If you chose not to use separate settings for each user when installing Opera, you will only have to remove your Opera installation folder.

TMacK, the problem is Opera does not show up in the "add/remove list. I don't understand how that is possible as I definitely can use the browser. What do I do? Can I go into programs and just delete the Opera folder?

Removing the opera folder is only part of it.
In Opera, click Help>About Opera. Look under "paths".
What version are you using? Have you tried an over the top install?
Even if it is listed in add\remove, you still have to do some manual deletion.

Thank you. I installed over the existing and it now shows up in add/remove list. Will uninstall and follow opera's uninstall directions for complete removal.
