As stated, I am using win98 se. Recently, I clicked to shut down and restart in ms-dos mode. But I now cant get computer to go back to "normal". I have used the start-up floopy and went through a number of setups using
that win98 SE cd disk. But still cannot disengage from the ms-dos mode.

Can anyone tell me how to get back to normal win98 operating system. Might have something to do with me getting into Fdisk and clicking on the wrong things?? Thanks for your help and advice. Sally

When you reboot the machine, without any disks in any drives, what does the DOS screen say?

If you are stuck in MS-DOS mode at the command prompt type

WIN /W:X

and hit enter. That should return you to Windows

But if you were in FDISK you may have deleted the partition.
Exactly what did you do in FDISK?

When you select Restart in MS-DOS Mode it isn't true DOS its only Command.com DOS. You normally just type Exit to return to Windows. dry.gif

be a simple matter. With this computer - when I get it fixed -
