my secretary has an excel file populated with names and addresses for a mailing label list...

we update it once a week with additions and deletions...

today, as she scrolled the mouse over the names, the pointer changed from the arrow head to the pointing finger and displayed email address for these names. weve never had email addresses associated with this file...

what did Windows do>?

Is this "population "based on manual input or is coming, for instance out of an email client(like outlook) as a source?

these were all manually added...

each cell has either a name, address, phone number or account number...

there are about 1100 of them...

we can individually click each one and 'disable hyperlink' but there is no way to do them all at once, and we dont know how they all got there...

Is there nowwhere an email adress mentioned in this excell file? Normally if you hover over a hyperlink or email adress it changes from pointer to hand
