In Internet Explorer 7, under TOOLS, is the option "FULL SCREEN". It has a check mark beside it but, when I click on it to turn it off, it immediately reverts to full screen. Using F11 does the same thing. I like this function but, also, I would like to be able to turn it off. Anybody have this problem or a solution ?

Here's a longshot idea, but it may work:

Note: This procedure involves editing the Windows Registry. ALWAYS backup your registry before making any changes. You'll thank me when you're older!
How to backup the Windows Registry:
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
3. On the File menu, click Export.
4. In the Save in box, select a location where you want to save the Registration Entries (.reg) file, type a file name in the File name box, and then click Save.

Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
Set the value of "FullScreen" to "no"
exit the registry. Reboot.

Thanks, Amazing Andrew. Editing the registry worked to a certain extent -- when I first bring up IE7, it reverts to "Full Screen" but, now, when I click on "Full Screen" or hit F11 it goes back to regular view and doesn't automatically (on it's own) revert to full screen until I tell it to. I can live with that.

How do you launch Internet Explorer? What icon do you use and where is it?
