Microsoft's YouTube Rival Arrives in Public Beta.

Microsoft has unveiled a public beta of its MSN Soapbox video-upload service, its competitor to Google's popular YouTube service.

Elizabeth Montalbano, IDG News Service Thu Feb 15, 2:00 PM ET

The service, which Microsoft unveiled last September, has been available to beta testers only by invitation for several months. But now anyone can test out the service by going to the Soapbox site, reports the the LiveSide blog, which tracks Microsoft's Windows Live Internet services.

Why is Microsoft always copying people and trying to be better and always fail miserably... Why don't don't be original and invent something no one else has?

How about an OS that is not vulnarable?

You know of one?

Mac and linux can be compromised its just that they have so few users that the hackers must not take their time to mess with them as much. I mean what share does linux and mac have to windows? Maybe 3% or less combined?

I know mac has its flaws and so does linux. They all have their purpose and some are better at things than the other.

It certainly does seem that Microsoft is rushing to press with its "me,too!" offerings, often prematurely given the many problems users are experiencing with the latest editions of applications that---at least for MS products---worked fairy well in earlier versions.
It has lost any vision it once had, and its reputation (or what it once had) for quality is slipping with each publish.
