Network is fine, using Zoom modem/router/wireless, running XP pro on PC and Notebooks. I can see the PC from the notebook and vice versa. Cannot access. When I click on the computer I want to access, I get the message "//* is not accessible. You might not have permissions" blah, blah, blah. We've all seen it. Anyway the workgroup is the same, all drives are shared with read/write permissions.

If the notebook is plugged into the router, I have no problems accessing from both directions. The problem is when the notebook is running in wireless.

How can I get the computers to talk to each other when one is wired and one is wireless?

I suspect that the guest account doesn't have sufficient permissions to do what you're trying to do. Try "mirroring" the accounts - that is, having an account on both computers with the exact same account name and password.

Already did the mirroring thing. Doesn't work. Guess the best thing to do is to wire the whole darn house if I want to access the PC.
