Hi all,

I'm nearly done setting up my 'puter. My earlier concerns about the drivers corrupting my system was actually unfounded as it's my motherboard that's apparently a little buggy (eVGA nForce 680i...be CAREFUL if you're thinking about buying it).

Anyway, I'm trying to erase and format my 2nd hard drive in Computer Management. It warned me that I can force the erase/format but run the risk of application errors because it's an active partition. Now, I don't want to ruin anything I've worked on, so is there a way to inactivate a partition so I can safely erase/format my 2nd hard drive? I'm guessing it's something I have to set up in BIOS temporarily, or am I wrong?

Thanks!

I use Gparted to modify or create partitions. It is great and far better than Partition Magic.
