I have both Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 and Google’s Picasa. Adobe was installed first and I reckon that I have got the hang of it. Picasa was installed a month ago and I am learning how to use it.

When I installed Picasa, it copied into itself all of the photos that are in Adobe Photoshop, and the photos that are in many folders in my C drive.

In 2005 I took some digital photographs and emailed them to a friend, as .jpg attachments. Then, there were problems with Adobe Photoshop and the programme was reinstalled, twice. In the confusion I stupidly deleted those 2005 images from my hard drive.

I thought that they had gone for good, but today, when I was going through my old Outlook Express emails, I found the email with those 2005 attachments. I can open the attachments and yes, they are the lost photos.

I want to convert the .jpg attachments to digital photos in Adobe and Picasa and I shall be very grateful if someone will tell how to do it.

Best wishes, whatapalaver

Simply save them (the .jpeg attachments) to your hard drive. I am not sure about Adobe, but I know that once there, if you run Picasa, it will pick them up.

Thank you jgweed. I followed your advice and saved to my hard drive. I then put them into Adobe and Picasa picked them up. They are precious photographs and I do appreciate your help. Thanks again.

Best wishes. whatapalaver
