Tru, for computers and accessories, you may find some bargains at http://www.bensbargains.net This site has many rebates and coupon codes. Suggestion - if you like the monitor and printer you have now with your emachines, you only need to get the cpu and may be able to save some money.

You will get more computer for the buck if you stick with a desktop style. Depending on when you actually buy the computer, you will want it running on Windows XP or the new version, Vista (especially if you buy it around six months from now).
Photo editing requires a lot of RAM, so you will want a computer with a GIG (especially with Vista), and storage requires a LOT of disk space, even if you save much of the data to disks.
When you are ready to buy, you might tell us the price range, and we could make some recommendations.

Regards,
John
