hi i have a seagate barracuda 7200.7.

Its just started beeping ( short beep ) someone said it means its on its last legs?.

its a 120gb HDD but its only got about 277mb free could it just me a low disk space warning? ( my OS isnt on that drive )

Have a go at Seagate's SeaTool Online, or their Desktop Version...

right now im having probs with a raid controller, some im taking all my crap off and gunna format fresh. Im using a barracuda 2 (7200 rpm). Ever since i installed my X1950, it boots so slow. But i get beeps from my speaker system while loading a lot of things.

Yea mine seems 2 b going a little slower, ive unpluged it and the beeps stopped but the drive is pretty full, but ill get back 2 u after i look at that website.

Just curious - do the beeps come from the drive itself?
