Hi folks,

I have a developed a problem with outlook. When I open it I get a message that says

' the add in c:\program files\panda software\panda titanium 2006 antivirus could not be installed or loaded.this problem may be resolved by using detect and repair.

you may be out of memory, out of system resources or missing .dll file

This problem started yesterday when had to use the system restore. I had to make several restore attempts to solve a problem.

Once I click on ok the message goes away and outlook runs as normal.

I have tried the detect and repair option and have uninstalled and reinstalled but I keep getting the same message when I open the program.

I uninstalled Panda a while ago and I wasn't using outlook at the time I was using Panda ?

Any suggestions ?

Hi leeboy.
It's Panda's e-mail scanner. Panda's uninstaller left some stuff behind. Typical Panda. smile.gif
In any case, open Outlook. Click Tools>Options>Other tab>Advanced Options.
Click the "Add-In Manager" button. Remove the checkmark next to anything Panda and OK your way out.
Check the "COM Add-ins" button as well for any panda entries.
When your done, look for and manually delete any folders and files left behind by Panda's uninstaller via windows explorer.

HitSquad, the only items in Add-in manager are: Mapisensor, Exchange Extensions property Pages and Fax Server Extension.

Nothing at all in COM Add-ins.

I have deleted everything I could find via windows explorer. However, I tried to install Panda again but it wont let me as is says are still files from a previous install/uninstall ?

Panda Titanium still appears in 'add or remove programs' but if I click on 'remove' nothing happens.

Am I overlooking something somewhere ?

Sorry if I sound a bit dense but I'm not much more than a novice.

You're welcome leeboy. It had to be one of those add-on's. smile.gif
For the files and reg entries Panda failed to uninstall, see this page.
It's a general guide but should wipe out 99% of what is left, including the entry in Add/Remove.
Though msconfig is not mentioned (only services), check there too as part of step one.

Thanks again HitSquad, great link.
