Hi guys,

After I installed some codecs here I get this blue icon near the clock everytime I'm watching a video.
Here's the image:

Does anyone know how I can get rid of this icon?

Thanks in advance.

Right-click on the icon, and see if there are settings to change it.

I've played a few movies on my end, using different players, and I don't get that icon.

What are you using to watch your movies?

There are a few options but nothing about making it disappear. I'm using wmp 10 and media player classic 6.4.90

I'm testing it right now... but I can't get my icon to load up.

I do know the settings would be in the Start>All Programs>DivX ...... and then most likely the DivX Codec folder, and the link to the Decoder Configuration Utility

I'll keep trying on my end to at least get it to show up, but in the meantime, follow the pathway I mentioned. It's either in there somewhere or it's inside of the DivX player. Open the DivX player, then goto the Tools Menu, then choose Preferences.

I should know this by now, but I don't watch movies on my computer anymore, and I don't get the icon either when I do watch on my pc.

Update...

MediaPlayer Classic & WMP causes it to show up. Now, all I have to do is figure out if it can be stopped.

If not, your best bet is to use VideoLan.

Hi,

Go to Start | Execute and type this:

"C:\Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack\filters\DivXsm.exe" /unregister

Of course, set the root of the divxsm.exe file. In my PC is "C:\Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack\filters\DivXsm.exe", but you could have another.

Sorry for my bad english. whistling.gif
