Hi

When I try to connect to my wireless connection it comes up saying 'Acquiring network address' but never actually assigns anything and does not connect.

I have connected to the same wireless network with other laptops so the connection and router seem ok

Any ideas what I need to change on the laptop that is not connecting ?

Hello,

What wireless software are you using? It could be a simple service that is turned off in the services list.

Go to start run and type services.msc go down the list and look to make sure that DHCP is started, networking services like network dde are started and make sure wireless services are started.
