Hi There
I'm having trouble securing my wireless network.
I'm running:
1. Windows XP PC - wired
2. Windows MCE - Wireless
3. Xbox 360 - Wireless
4. Buffalo Link Theatre - Wireless
5. Windows XP Laptop - Wireless
At the moment everything works fine, however:
* When I stop broadcasting the SSID the MCE PC cannot see the network
* When I add encryption nothing can see the network, except for the wired PC.
When setting up a wireless network within XP do I use the SSID name I have within the router as the network name?

While not getting into the specifics (because I'm headed out the door), the general principle with wireless security is to:
1) Disable all wireless security
2) Connect wireless to ensure that the problem doesn't remain
3) Enable the wireless security settings one at a time and test each on by trying to connect.
4) When the error first occurs you'll know where the problem lies, then you can take steps to correct it.
Don't forget to reset the security back to it's original level (when you're done) in order to remain protected.
