If one never validates membership by clicking on the link in the validation e-mail sent out,
that number is still assigned to the member, though unused.

This accounts for the several thousand number difference between "Registered Members" and
the number one sees when hovering over the newest member name.

(A few other members may have been "removed".)

In the US that is a date already passed. Jan. 02, 2007. Since I know you are not US based, I know that you mean Feb. 01, 2007. I am posting this just for clarification, for those who may not know the differences in day and date formats that exist worldwide.

I was confused with the way the USA writes dates at first.EG.Day-month -Year are in normal progression to me.To say the month first,then come back to the day took me a little getting used to.

It just makes me confused, since we do write mm/dd/yy (or most do I should say), and then she goes & writes dd/mm/yy!

in australia its dd/mm/yyyy, when its mm/dd/yyyy it stuffs me up.....now i say the last week of january or the first week of feb for 100,000 members....when it gets closer i'll be a bit more accurate.

I think there should be a cutoff point for guessing the date,as its a little unfair to those who were game enough to predict the date as far back as before Christmas.Otherwise we will be getting predictions 5 mins before it occurs.

I plan to guess right up until the end! Like you said I'm bound to get it right sometime!
